About Cynthia

After spending more than 30 years of my life learning about health and wellness, you might think that staying healthy would be easy for me. But in truth, I have had times in my life where it has been hard to find the time, energy, and motivation to take care of myself. 


Like many people, I struggled a lot during and after the pandemic. My job became demanding and my household duties increased. The stress disrupted my sleep and increased levels of chronic pain. I became more sedentary and, due to chronic pain, I reduced my activity levels. Like you, I had started well down the road of chronic disease. 


Thankfully, I heard about the  new medical specialty "Lifestyle Medicine." While completing their trainings, I learned more about the power of food, physical activity, sleep and stress interventions to prevent and reverse chronic disease. I began to truly appreciate that better health was possible and I could embark on a journey back towards better health. Since then, my sleep has improved, I have lost some weight, my blood pressure and pain levels have decreased, and most importantly, I wake up each day feeling more vibrant, healthy, and balanced.


My professional health and wellness philosophy reflects my own "imperfect" health journey:


Each of us can be on a journey each day towards being our “best self” - physically, mentally, and spiritually. There will be days that are harder and days that are easier. Each day is a new opportunity  to commit ourselves to the path of better health and wellness. Over time, these steps add up to a lifetime of better health and wellness.


When we strive for progress, not perfection, we can be compassionate when we fall short or struggle. We can work towards gradual, consistent behavior change  and know that our efforts will add up over time.

What's in a name?

The name Nourish for Tomorrow emphasizes that we can take steps today to improve our health and wellbeing in the future. That “future” could be as soon as later today or tomorrow. 


Did you know that physical activity lowers our blood pressure, improves our mental outlook, and helps our sleep patterns the day we are active and the next day after that?


Do you know that it is possible to reverse diseases such as high blood pressure, high cholesterol, and type 2 diabetes? That is AMAZING news!
