If you want to take steps to restore your health let's work together to take control of your health one habit at a time.
Lifestyle Medicine is a medical specialty that uses therapeutic lifestyle interventions as the primary treatment for chronic diseases. Research supports the use of nutrition, physical activity, sleep, stress, and social relationship interventions to effectively treat and even reverse these conditions. Cynthia is well-versed in these techniques and is pursuing certification in this area.
Integrative Nutrition is a science-based approach to nutrition care that emphasizes patient-practitioner partnerships and the balance between the mind, body, and spirit. After 14 years teaching at Bastyr University, a leading institution of integrative medicine, Cynthia effectively blends both traditional and integrative medicine to help clients achieve optimal well-being.
Many people have the information they need to improve their health, but they struggle to change habits and daily behaviors. Cynthia uses evidence-based theories and behavior change strategies to break down large lifestyle changes into manageable steps. This helps clients be more successful until the new behaviors become habits.
With both a PhD and ten years' experience as a nutrition researcher, Cynthia can evaluate the latest research and effectively apply it to patient care. She helps clients navigate the headlines, so they know what is worth paying attention to and what they can disregard.
